A leaking pipe in a live system needs a fast fix — not a shutdown and a week’s wait for parts.
Romacon repair clamps are a European-manufactured, ISO 9001-certified solution for sealing leaks on live pipelines without cutting, welding, or taking the system offline. David Phee Enterprise stocks Romacon
clamps in Singapore for same-day supply to shipyards, ship chandlers, and industrial contractors.
What Is a Pipe Repair Clamp?
A pipe repair clamp wraps around the outside of a leaking pipe and compresses a rubber sleeve over the damaged section to stop the leak. Installation requires no special tools — a standard wrench is all you
need.
Repair clamps are used on:
- Cracked or corroded pipe sections
- Pin holes and pit holes from corrosion
- Broken pipes or damaged joints
- Misaligned pipe connections Most Romacon clamps can be installed under live pressure, making them the preferred emergency repair solution on ships and in industrial plants where downtime is not an option.
Romacon Product Range
All Romacon clamps use stainless steel AISI 304 or 316L (passivated) with a choice of rubber: SBR, NBR, EPDM, EPDM HT, or Viton. No special tools required.
RS-0 — Small Repair Clamp
For small-diameter pipes where a compact, single-band clamp is sufficient.
Specs:
- Pipe diameter: ND ½” to 2″ (OD range 19–64mm)
- Working pressure: 20 bar (water), max 4 bar (gas)
- Lengths: 75mm and 150mm
- Pipe types: Ductile iron, cast iron, steel, PE-coated, PVC, PE Use RS-0 for pin holes, small cracks, and pit corrosion on small-bore pipe runs.
RS-1 — Standard Repair Clamp
The workhorse repair clamp for medium to large diameter pipes.
Specs:
- Pipe diameter: DN 40–350
- Working pressure: 16 bar (DN 40–150), 10 bar (DN 175–300)
- Lengths: 150 / 200 / 250 / 300 / 400 / 500 / 600mm
- Rubber options: EPDM, EPDM HT, NBR, Viton
- Certified: ACS (France), WRAS (UK)
- Pipe types: Ductile iron, cast iron, steel, asbestos cement, PE-coated, PVC, GRP, PE Use RS-1 for larger pipe repairs in water infrastructure, industrial plants, and marine piping systems. The wide range of lengths means you can cover both short cracks and extended damaged sections.
Snap Clamp — 1 Bolt Type
Designed for above-ground repairs where speed is critical — particularly on ships.
Specs:
- OD range: 21–329mm (up to DN 300)
- Working pressure: 16 bar (OD 21–111mm), 10 bar (OD 112–229mm), 6 bar (OD 272–329mm)
- Gas max: 4 bar (all sizes up to 329mm)
- Lengths: 75, 150, 225mm
- Rubber: EPDM standard, NBR on request The snap-on design means it fits around the pipe in seconds. Widely used by ship chandlers supplying emergency repair stock to vessels in port.
Snap Clamp — 2 Bolt Type
Same snap-on convenience as the 1-bolt, but rated for higher pressure on small diameters.
Specs:
- OD range: 21–229mm (up to ND 300)
- Working pressure: 20 bar (OD 21–111mm), 10 bar (OD 112–229mm)
- Rubber: NBR standard, EPDM on request Use the 2-bolt where you need the snap-on speed but with higher pressure tolerance.
Choosing the Right Romacon Clamp
RS-0 — Small bore pipe (½” to 2″), pin holes, cracks, pit corrosion
RS-1 — Medium to large bore pipe (DN 40–350), longer damage sections, water infrastructure
Snap Clamp 1-bolt — Above-ground repairs on ships, fast installation priority
Snap Clamp 2-bolt — Same as 1-bolt but where higher pressure is required
Rubber Selection Guide
EPDM — General water service, seawater, mild chemicals
NBR — Oil and fuel lines
Viton (FKM) — High temperature or aggressive chemical service
EPDM HT — High temperature water service
